CatRIS (Catalogue of Research Infrastructure Services) is a new project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme. It will build an online catalogue of European research infrastructure services, with particular emphasis on physical infrastructures.
On 30 and 31 October 2018 the MERIL team was invited to attend the 2nd Cooperation Workshop hosted by NFEC in Korea.
On 6 September 2018, Maro Androutsopoulou represented the MERIL team as RI national contact point and project manager at EKT, MERIL’s technical partner, in the workshop “Future Strategies for Research Infrastructure Operation”.
On 23 August 2018 the European Science Foundation (ESF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Research Facilities and Equipment Center (NFEC), based at the Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI), at the ESF headquarters in Strasbourg (France).
The MERIL team has been quite active in the last two months, travelling around Europe to present the project and to foster further discussions with the RI community and stakeholders.
RItrain (the Research Infrastructure Training Programme – http://ritrain.eu/), a Horizon 2020 project aiming to improve and professionalize the training of managerial and leadership staff in research infrastructures, is currently surveying the training needs of Managers of Research Infrastructures to be used in the RItrain staff/knowledge exchange programme.
On 26-28 February 2018, the first Big Science Business Forum BSBF2018 will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
